The UC Irvine Center for Trauma & Injury Prevention Research (CTIPR) was created in 2004 with the mission to reduce traumatic injury.
Our path to this goal includes:
The center's faculty and staff include experienced researchers in the fields of epidemiology, traffic safety, programmatic development, health policy and public health. They have received funding from professional medical organizations, corporate entities and state and federal agencies.
The center's faculty associates represent the departments of emergency medicine, surgery, pediatrics, family medicine and the graduate schools of social ecology, social sciences and business.
The center offers a fellowship in faculty development and education with two tracks for emergency medicine residency graduates. The fellowship is open to both U.S. and international applicants.
The center also collaborates with highly skilled postdoctoral and interested researchers.
